SUMMARY

 

Leverage your creative skills to make a difference in the community. The Marketing Coordinator will partner with the Arizona Science Center Marketing Team’s stakeholders and team members to support a wide range of functions, including communications, branding, project management, digital marketing, and social media. The Marketing Coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.

  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration to drive annual revenue and attendance goals, in alignment with the organization's balanced scorecard, using strategies informed by data analysis.
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, and content marketing
  • Utilize digital platforms to create a deeper connection with recruits and the fan base through storytelling and visualizations.
  • Build and implement social & online community strategies that ensure appropriate messaging is executed to support corporate goals, incorporating Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Regularly report insights gained from social networking and online communities to leadership.
  • Uses design and production skills to convey messages, clearly and creatively, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, ideally in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Understanding of business practices and concepts like ROI, data analytics, reporting, etc.
  • Proficiency working with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro experience as well as Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be a self-starter and a strong project manager comfortable with completing deadlines and multitasking.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates are preferred but not required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Does not have any day-to-day supervisory responsibilities.  However, the Marketing Coordinator may lead ad hoc task forces or project teams in conjunction with a special project or event, as well as work with a rotation of interns.                                  

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates are preferred, but not required.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle and feel. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Specific job duties that require the physical demands selected above include working with printed colored materials and film viewing.

This job also requires the use of a computer which will be placed somewhere in the employee's workspace. The employee must have the necessary keyboard and computer mouse skills as well as the ability to read a color monitor.

 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time salaried position with the option to work in a hybrid environment. Some weekend and evening work may be required and some flexibility on schedule hours, days, and location will be allowed.
