Overall Purpose of this Role: Reporting to the VP, Donor and Volunteer Engagement, this position will serve as the liaison between the Volunteer Resource Center and corporate partners in collaboration with the development team. In execution of duties, this position will require an extensive amount of time coordinating service projects, supporting large scale events, managing staffing and volunteers for fundraising events and making presentations that provide a rewarding and inspiring experience to every donor and volunteer with every interaction to connect them to the work of Heart of Florida United Way.
Key Accountabilities:
General
· Design, implement and enhance custom engagement opportunities and events in support of HFUW donor segments including Corporate Partners, Affinity Groups and other identified corporate donor prospects.
· Consult and collaborate across the organization to plan and oversee corporate focused engagement programs and events in alignment with HFUW priorities including signature volunteer events and year-round service opportunities.
· Prompt and professional communication to respond to inquiries and requests, generally providing outstanding customer service to current project clients and prospects.
· Identify and develop relationships with external partners to design and enhance our capacity to provide a valuable HFUW experience through engagement programs and events.
· In collaboration with Marketing and Communications, assist in the development of products to enhance the engagement of HFUW stakeholders.
· Partner with the Resource Development Team to develop customized engagement opportunities for corporate partners and affinity groups.
· Assist with tracking and providing analysis of evaluation metrics of events to measure the ROI, event effectiveness and alignment with strategic plan goals.
· In collaboration with Marketing & Communications and IT, implement business solutions for scheduling and tracking participation in activities and events in order to analyze behavior data.
· Ensure that accurate, up-to-date volunteer information is maintained in the database and in volunteer management system (Golden). Use this data to communicate volunteer impact to corporate partners as needed.
· Update and produce monthly reports on activity and accomplishments, in addition to periodic status reports to the VP, including tracking volunteer time, value and in kind donations.
· Proactively assist in driving revenue goals by pitching volunteer support services and coordination through outreach to new companies, new market segments, etc.
· Actively recruit volunteers including single occurrence, on-going, and skills based to support HFUW activities and programs.
· Create service opportunities for groups visiting Central Florida seeking service projects, develop relationships with hospitality service companies to increase awareness of volunteer event planning services.
· Supervise any volunteers or interns directly assigned, including leadership roles at HFUW large scale events.
· Assist with any other departmental needs and serve as back up to team members as requested.
· Position includes evening and weekend events as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Experience leading groups of people, preferably unpaid volunteers.
· Strong customer service skills, preferably in the business to business sector.
· Event/meeting planning & project management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at one time with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent reading, writing, reporting & proofreading skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· College degree, associate’s or bachelor’s, is preferred
· Demonstrated proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, ability to type a minimum 55 WPM, ability to use common office equipment such as copier and fax.
· Experience with relational databases helpful.
· Prior non-profit experience preferred.
· Must be able to prioritize heavy workload in fast paced environment.
· Must be personable with excellent verbal and written communications skills, and be able to interact with a variety of individuals/organizations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending, occasional lifting of items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds, regularly moving throughout the building between floors, traveling to outside meetings, regular use of standard office equipment such as the telephone, copier, fax and computer. Demands also involve protracted concentration. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license is required. Job involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers, and routinely intense public contact.
* All hybrid or remote positions with HFUW require the ability to travel to the office with short notice, should this be necessary for equipment needs, events, in-person meetings, etc.
