OVERALL PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:

Work with Director of Grants Administration to identify and pursue new revenue sources in support of internal or community programs that align with strategic impact goals. Assist with review of contracts and dissemination of information, to ensure compliance in meeting deliverables and tracking program outcomes as well as approved expenditures.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Create prospect spreadsheet of selected funding sources/opportunities through research utilizing the grant search subscription and other resources.

·         Notify appropriate staff of new grant opportunities and prepare a description of each to present to the Quality Assurance Committee for review.

·         Participate in planning the Quality Assurance meetings and providing updates on assigned grant activities.

·         Serve as primary point of contact to prepare and submit proposals/applications on behalf of Resource Development, for annual corporate contributions and sponsorships.

·         Capture reports and data, as applicable, from sources identified by Grants Administration.

·         Review contracts/agreements to determine all deliverables and report schedules – update reports calendar accordingly, and notify appropriate program, finance and human resources staff.

·         Coordinate grant monitoring requests from funders and assist with facilitating the monitoring visit. 

·         Support efforts to propose funding for internal programs, including gathering required attachments and reviewing narrative provided by program leads.

·         Identify and/or support innovative special projects that enhance the productivity, efficiency, and accuracy of the department or organization.

·         Maintain electronic and paper contract files as directed by Grants Administration policies.

·         Work with Director, Grants Administration, to review policies and procedures, and update, if necessary, ensuring a working knowledge of all activities to provide solid backup during high-volume periods.

·         Explore learning opportunities and request participation to enhance skills relevant to position.

·         Produce written and visual materials for internal and external reports and presentations.

·         Contribute to the overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending, occasional lifting of items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds, regularly moving throughout the building between floors, traveling to outside meetings, regular use of standard office equipment such as the telephone, copier, fax and computer.  Demands also involve protracted concentration.  Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license is required.  Job involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers, and routinely intense public contact.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral/Social Services, Public Administration, Business Management, Organizational Development required.

·         Minimum of two years of grant writing and administration experience.

·         Experience working in collaborative environments and cross-functionally to achieve goals.

·         Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

·         Proficient with frequent use of the general internet, funder specific platforms, virtual meeting platforms, and electronic communications.

·         Excellence in interpersonal relationship skills and communications, including written and verbal.

·         Demonstrated ability for high attention to details, adherence to timelines, analytical, and problem solving skills.
