Overall Purpose of this Role: To coordinate and manage multimedia projects and marketing initiatives for Heart of Florida United Way. As part of this position, a primary strategic goal would be to raise the local and national profile of HFUW, and generally provide a rewarding and inspiring experience to HFUW’s audiences. This position is expected to design and produce a variety of content/materials for all communications channels – web, social media, traditional marketing, events, etc. The Multimedia Coordinator would be involved with supporting execution of communications strategy, developing multimedia content and delivering experiences to uphold the United Way brand. This position will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of social media platforms, website, e-mail communications, design and video projects, while supporting efforts of the entire Donor & Volunteer Engagement Department.

Key Accountabilities:

General

·        Assist in upholding United Way brand standards in all designs and establish brand consistency across all media.

·        Write and edit marketing and ad copy, e-blasts, bylined/feature articles, blog posts, success stories, newsletters, special correspondence/letters, web copy, video scripts, PSAs and other copy as needed.

·        Maintain digital files for reference data, information and articles.

·        Assist in monitoring, analyzing, and communicating marketing results on regular basis.

·        Assist in working with vendors, submitting files and monitoring projects from quote to completion.

·        Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions.

·        Conduct research to support communications planning.

·        Act as staff photographer, as needed.

Design & Production

·        Design and produce a variety of marketing materials (event/program fliers, brochures, invitations, campaign collateral, etc.) using Adobe Creative Suite.

·        Provide layout, design and graphics for e-newsletters and other electronic communications as assigned.

·        Develop e-blasts using donor management system.

·        Produce graphics for use on social media.

·        Manage video production, editing and rendering of video projects.

·        Shoot, edit and produce videos for marketing and promotional purposes using Adobe Premiere.

·        Create and maintain back-ups of all collateral, photographs, videos and audio files.

·        Assist with details related to United Way special events, including photography and video.

·        Assist in all aspects of social media, event planning and execution and other marketing projects, as needed.

·        Assist with details related to United Way special events.

·        Assist with rendering videos for distribution for media, DVDs, television and YouTube.

·        Remain knowledgeable regarding industry trends, best practices and techniques.

·        Possess a proactive mentality to take initiative on projects and identify additional opportunities.

Online

·        Manage day-to-day maintenance of all HFUW social media accounts including but not limited to Blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.

·        Responsible for keeping HFUW website content current and compelling.

·        Assist in the development and production of multimedia content.

·        Assist with website maintenance.

·        Maintain relevancy of Wordpress website by auditing new plug-ins and features.

·        Act as webmaster – maintain accuracy of webpages, post all changes, update content, as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending, occasional lifting of items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds, regularly moving throughout the building between floors, traveling to outside meetings, regular use of standard office equipment such as the telephone, copier, fax and computer.  Demands also involve protracted concentration.  Reliable transportation is required.  Job involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers, and routinely intense public contact.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Bachelor’s degree in graphic/web design, marketing, digital marketing, communications or equivalent required.

·        Exhibit excellence in design principles and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

·        Minimum of three years of related work experience, with a majority of experience in design, web or video production.

·        Excellent planning and organizational skills in meeting deadlines required.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication required.

·        Must have knowledge of social media platforms and their application as a marketing and communications tool and experience managing a social media campaign with proven analytics.

·        Proficiency with Hootsuite and social media platforms/tools including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, WordPress, Canva and others.

·        Must have good people skills and customer service mentality to be able to interact with a variety of individuals/departments/organizations.

·        Possess a proactive mentality to take initiative on projects, manage multiple deadlines and identify opportunities for efficiency.
