Overall Purpose of this Role: Work under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer to perform data support, data extraction and manipulation for all departments.

Key Accountabilities:

·        Extract data from donor database to include information flow and report generation.

·        Provide help desk support for the e-Pledge online giving and donor database system.

·        Develop solutions to collect, analyze, and report project-specific data using a wide range of technologies including but not limited to MS Excel and MS Access.

·        Assist the pledge processing function with data manipulation, imports of donor pledges, designations, and payments along with performing data entry during periods of high volume.

·        Work with large and varied data sets, from multiple data sources, in order to conduct analysis and generate concise reporting.

·        Create and generate mailing lists to include newsletters, invites, direct mail, and thank you letters.

·        Analyze and compile organizational data for United Way Worldwide fiscal year-end report.

·        Process data requests for all departments.

·        Provide technical and administrative assistance at various events.

·        Assist with coordination and troubleshooting of IT, database, and software systems.

·        Maintain email and copier distribution list.

·        Update SharePoint intranet with current employee information.

·        Contribute to the overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending, occasional lifting of items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds, regularly moving throughout the building between floors, traveling to outside meetings, regular use of standard office equipment such as the telephone, copier, fax and computer.  Demands also involve protracted concentration.  Reliable transportation is required.  Job involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers, and routinely intense public contact.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in technology related field, or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or university required.

·        Six years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·        Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.

·        Ability to comprehend data requests, provide guidance, and analyze data points.

·        Demonstrated ability to learn new and/or customized software.

·        Good written and oral communication, interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work with all levels of company employees.

·        Unquestioned confidentiality with sensitive donor and financial data.
