Summary:
DistroKid is looking for a highly motivated individual to join its legal department as Manager, Legal and Business Affairs. This will be a high-impact role reporting to and working closely with the General Counsel to help the company scale.
*This is a fully remote position.

Primary responsibilities:
Support and manage:
contractual process: from creation and negotiation to signing and archiving of various agreements including NDAs and marketing agreements
company's contracts and equity databases
company’s insurance renewal process
company’s IP portfolio
legal compliance
legal ops, including continuous improvement of forms and processes
legal projects, deliverables, and deadlines
Support and advise the content ops, marketing, and infringement teams
Assist and perform legal research
Facilitate sharing of information across different departments
Aid and assist General Counsel on various legal matters
Support and advise on music publishing matters
Be a team player; perform additional duties as assigned by General Counsel, CFO, COO, and CEO

Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of relevant experience, such as a contracts manager in an in-house legal department or paralegal at a law firm required
Prior experience at record label, music publisher, or entertainment / content company preferred
JD preferred but not required
Prior experience in music publishing a plus
Passion for music and technology and related trends a plus
