Summary
DistroKid’s mission is to provide high quality tools and services that help artists at any level be prolific. DistroKid is searching for a Business Intelligence Director to lead our growing Data and Analytics team in providing key insights into business performance, as well as recommending methods for accelerating growth and improving operations. This individual will work closely with the executive team and our investor partners. The ideal candidate is a curious self-starter with a strong background in data analysis and sense of infrastructure requirements, has ability to lead cross-functional teams, and a desire to optimize business performance.
Responsibilities
Assess existing data infrastructure and lead implementation of new tools to bring next-level data analytics to DistroKid.
Deliver high quality dashboards with key metrics to leadership team to support decision-making
Drive analysis to provide intelligence and insights around areas of improvement that will result in:
Accelerated customer base growth
Increased Artist engagement
Improved customer retention
Higher Artist satisfaction
Better execution and efficiency, and reduced costs across DistroKid.
Provide highly engaging data visualizations that showcase key performance insights
Lead cross-functional teams through data initiatives
Skills
7+ Years of demonstrated ability in a business analytics role.
Self-motivated, problem solver with flexibility to adapt to frequent changes.
Experience owning large strategic bodies of work, prioritizing initiatives, and program managing key deliverables
Experience in coordinating the work of others to achieve desired outcomes/deliverables.
Proven ability to solicit feedback that enables proper prioritization of competing requests.
Exceptional analytical skills and use of root cause analysis and diagnostics.
Excellent listening, communication (verbal and written), influencing, and presentation skills
Rigorous attention to detail (as work will be in front of all levels of DistroKid).
Experience in data visualization tool implementation.
Experience with other tools such as AWS Redshift, Python and SQL would be a bonus.
