Position & Responsibilities:

As the second cloud engineer at ActivTrak, you will be managing our Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, ensuring its continuous operation. You will also be a force multiplier for our engineering teams by developing the next generation of our CI/CD pipeline and building automation to reduce toil. Our cloud engineers work with each development team and focus on keeping them productive by developing our cloud resources and internal processes and tools. We run an advanced cloud-native application that supports hundreds of millions of events per day, leverage our petabyte+ of existing data, and supports our 150,000+ users as we disrupt the productivity analytics industry. We need your help to continue to grow.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a DevOps, site reliability, or software engineering role

  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure and employing best practices (GCP preferred), including configuration of App Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, GKE, and VPC/network configurations

  • Experience in Kubernetes configuration/monitoring and working with containerized workloads

  • Familiarity with Terraform or similar infrastructure automation tools

  • Experience with SQL

  • Linux administration expertise

  • Fluency in at least one programming language (bonus points for python)

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Experience in developing CI/CD processes and supporting technologies

  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and cost management tools
