About the role:

This role is responsible for managing the planning, execution and measurement of seasonal assortment plans in order to achieve specific financial and productivity metrics. Provide key data and analytics of performance within product categories across the business and help drive successful scale and profitability.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing brand!

What you’ll do:

Inventory Management:

 

  • Establish product plans for each season against financial and unit targets based on contribution by product category

  • Ensure inventory plans tie to merchandise plans & company budget; identify business opportunities

  • Supervise inventory across all store locations, ensuring alignment with company-wide trends and store capacities

  • Track performance against planned targets and previous year's performance

  • Present Retail channel strategy during Investment Review meetings 

  • Curate assortment for New Store openings in tandem with merchandising 

 

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Monitor and control markdown cadence and aged-inventory levels in order to maximize profitability while achieving required sell-through targets

  • Collect and analyze weekly, monthly and seasonal retail sales data to identify risks/opportunities within the business.

  • Work with Allocator to maximize Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly planning reports on KPIs

  • Report against inventory positions by store and in-stock percentages to upper management

 

Allocation:

  • Partner with merchants & allocators to create a clear allocation strategy based on region-specific needs

  • Oversee the Retail Allocator

  • Partner closely with logistics & warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of product to stores

  • Work with visual merchandising to understand key looks and window features 

 

Process:

  • Create a merchandising roadmap for the season based on financial targets and retail analysis. Roadmap will include: Category Penetration Planning, Style and Sku count direction, and Replenishment needs.

  • Support the implementation and execution of new business processes including partner drop ship and other ecommerce sites.

  • Proactively identify department specific retail issues and opportunities, proposing solutions and communicating a unified direction.

  • Collaborate and partner cross-functionally to understand full scope of business needs and challenges.

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in relevant merchandise planning, financial analysis, and/or other analytic field 

  • Retail store planning experience with outlet required

  • Exceptional communication skills up, down, and across the organization

  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and follow-through skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative to complete tasks

  • Positive attitude and commitment to work hard through difficult problems with respect for all team members

  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to take on additional assignments that appear above or beneath you

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), GSuite, and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
