About the role:

The District Manager will set the culture for the brand in a multi-store environment.  They are results driven and are responsible for the District as well as each store’s overall performance including sales and profitability.  The District Manager will inspire, motivate and develop the store teams ensuring that every customer has a positive and comfortable experience.  The District Manager will be an ambassador of Rhone and a representation of its principles (Gritty, Responsible, Evolving, Authentic, and Team Centered).  They should have a passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.   


What you’ll do:

  • Motivate, coach, and strengthen Store Managers as team leaders, retail operators, and business owners.

  • Support the strategy for stores in assigned district to close identified performance gaps.

  • Support district-level strategies to achieve District and store-level financial, operational, and customer-service goals, while addressing each store’s unique strengths and challenges.

  • Hold Store Managers accountable for managing and developing their in-store teams.

  • Coach, develop, and manage the performance of Store Managers to create a scalable workforce that sets Rhone up for growth and promotes strong retention rates across all store roles.

  • Recruit, select, and onboard Store Managers who are passionate about pursuing progress in their own lives; Support Store Managers in recruiting store teams

  • Support Store Managers in the performance management of store teams

  • Represent the brand, brand image, and culture during internal and external events

  • Exhibit business acumen as it relates to retail and store financial goals

  • In partnership with the Director of Retail, manage District and Store level P&L devising strategies on controllable expenses

  • Meet and exceed District and Store Level sales targets and KPI’s

  • Work with Store Managers to ensure teams are trained to be product knowledge experts ensuring they are able to speak to the features and benefits of Rhone products

  • Work with Store Managers to ensure all Rhone team members deliver exceptional customer service as they represent the brand

  • Address customer complaints swiftly and completely showing empathy and compassion

  • Ensure Store Managers and teams uphold operational standards,  providing a safe and clean store environment for your customers and your team.

  • Ensure Store Managers and teams maintain the stability and reputation of stores by complying with legal requirements including local labor laws Work with Store Managers to uphold HR policies, guidelines, and best practices.

  • Work with Store Managers to ensure team schedules support the business needs while adhering to payroll goals as communicated by HQ business partners

  • Work with Store Managers to ensure marketing efforts, as well as visual merchandising standards, are consistent across stores and follow corporate guidelines

  • Work with Store Managers to ensure all shipping and receiving is processed efficiently and in a timely manner

  • Assess and gather feedback on inventory and assortment needs for the district communicating back to corporate partners 

  • Collaborate with Retail Project Manager to ensure successful and timely delivery of  New Store Openings (NSO’s) 

  • Open to additional projects and tasks as deemed necessary


What you’ll bring: 

  • Proven experience in leadership and team development

  • 6+ years of retail leadership experience or equivalent consumer-facing experience; preferably with 4+ years of multi-store leadership experience

  • Experience in fashion, clienteling, and in  a customer-forward environment

  • Ability and desire to build a collaborative, highly motivated, team

  • Proactive and experienced with networking 

  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills

  • A positive and optimistic attitude and an upbeat personality

  • The willingness to learn, be open to feedback, and takes action as required

  • Ability to work travel extensively and work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends as needed

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Point of Sale system(s), inventory management systems, and labor scheduling systems
