About the role:

The Director of Social Media will be responsible for developing the strategy and execution for Rhone’s organic social media channels. You will be tasked with developing best-in-class programs that grow key channels, engage our community and achieve key brand and business metrics. Collaborating with stakeholders in Marketing, PR, Growth and Product, the Director of Social Media will manage planning, content development and ambassador marketing. The ideal candidate comes with extensive social media experience across all major organic social channels, a proven track record in creating and implementing innovative campaigns and a proven track record in driving results. 


What you’ll do:

  • Develop and manage the social media strategy for Rhone’s organic social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. This includes creating the social media content calendar aligning with marketing beats, creating multimedia content, community management, managing ambassador campaigns and regular reporting

  • Creating, planning, and implementing social media campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and customer engagement while supporting brand and product goals

  • Plan, design, implement and monitor social media marketing campaigns that support brand and product goals

  • Curate and manage social media content in line with each platform’s best practices and audience trends, while maintaining the brand voice and ethos

  • Collaborate with creative, copy and ambassador leads to produce premium content in line with brand standards, as well as the product and growth pillars

  • Collaborate with Performance Marketing on their paid programs to execute cohesive social campaigns

  • Lead community management, providing responsive answers and assistance to Rhone’s loyal followers, while providing feedback to Customer Support

  • Monitoring competitor activity and responding to any activity that could harm the brand’s reputation or cause confusion among customers

  • Consistently measure, analyze, and optimize strategies and tactics to achieve optimal performance across respective social platforms


What we look for:

  • 5+ years of social media experience, including time leading social strategy

  • A deep knowledge of cutting edge and emerging digital and social trends

  • Strong analytical, creative and project management capabilities

  • In-depth knowledge of analytics software, content management systems and SEO tools

  • A background in building brand social media programs, ideally in apparel, wellness or technology

  • A growth mindset and willingness to both lead and roll up your sleeves to get the job done

  • Proven knowledge and experience in the fundamentals of branding and marketing

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present to leadership

  • A deep understanding of social media platforms and how to uniquely market across each of them with custom strategies and content plays

  • Exceptional time management skills and interpersonal relations, including managing small and nimble teams
