About the role:

We are looking for a user-centric, data-driven UX designer who will play a key part in defining and shaping digital solutions by delivering innovative designs in support of web & mobile experiences. 

You will work closely with creative, digital product management, product & merchandising, and technology to enhance the entire digital customer experience end-to-end.  You will help develop sprints (as a member of the sprint team), create wireframes and prototypes, write user tests and conduct user research, and design the user interface (mobile and desktop).

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze UX problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business requirements and goals

  • Develop and maintain detailed information architecture and design specifications for digital style guide

  • Rapidly and iteratively create interaction flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups throughout the design process

  • Strategize and collaborate with the brand & creative team, digital product & ecomm team, business stakeholders, and development teams to form user experience solutions

  • Represents the voice of the customer - based on customer research, analytic data, user experience best practices, and eCommerce industry expertise

  • Own user research to guide product design decisions (contextual inquiry, usability testing, competitive analysis, etc.) and analyze research findings and refines design approaches based on research results

  • Conducts brainstorm sessions and workshops for gathering UX insights and direction

  • Collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced and ambitious environment, breaking down complex briefs into simple, compelling ideas and highly-engaging designs, while improving the overall brand visual aesthetic across .com

  • Collaborate with Customer Care and Retail teams to identify points of friction and provide recommendations to improve the shopping experience

  • Participates in regular reviews with work partners to share design direction and gather feedback

  • Effectively manages multiple projects varying in size and complexity

  • Prioritize time and tasks as needed to meet deadlines 

  • Ability to lead projects without significant manager oversight.

  • Work with dev scrum teams to ensure pixel-perfect execution designs

What you’ll bring:

  • Portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in UX and visual design  including approach and process

  • Experience with ecommerce, preferably on brand or agency side, preferably in the apparel industry

  • 3-5 years of experience in user interface design, information architecture, interaction design, human factors, and other related UX disciplines

  • Strong interaction design skills, careful focus to detail and a concrete understanding of user centered design principles

  • Experience defining and monitoring success through site analytics/metrics

  • Proven ability to diplomatically advocate for the user, communicate informed design rationale and value

  • Relentless desire for creative innovation, balanced with business needs and customer expectations

  • Understanding of web standards and the latest mobile technologies, image optimization, and cross-browser compatibility

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively

  • Experience with design tools such as Figma

  • Understanding of Agile software development practices

  • A desire to have fun while creating value for our customers!


Preferred

  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS/.js coding

  • Proficiency in Figma 

  • Familiarity with front end .js frameworks, such as Vue.js

  • Strong background in developing e-commerce solutions

  • Deep experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
