About the role: We are looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing the strategy and vision for our customer communications. The Email Marketing Manager will define, build and manage marketing messages that speak to our various targets, and cultivate relationships with the consumer database and generate revenue.
What you’ll do:
Customer Communications Strategy
Lead & implement our global email marketing and SMS strategy, making sure that the campaigns and tactics in place are relevant to the customer mindset & help build customer engagement, lifetime value, share of wallet and support our business KPIs
Champion a data-driven approach to communications, using numbers to influence and enhance storytelling and retention
Work closely with creative and brand departments to ensure marketing campaigns remain on brand and innovative
Embed “Test, Learn & Optimize” into all activity - ensuring we are always building on our knowledge and driving performance with all campaigns
Be responsible for the final product (email, SMS, etc) that is sent to customer and manage sign off process
Onsite Customer Journeys
Continue to grow and build the active database of customers, coming up with new and innovative ways to drive signups and active users alongside the rest of the CRM team & acquisition team
Collaborate with IT/ CX and relevant 3rd parties to support a strategy on how to effectively target specific consumer segments and optimize customer journeys across our website & off-site marketing
Discover & investigate new technology and new tools that can elevate the innovation in our comms and champion channel diversification
Source & integrate the data needed to create highly personalized communications and onboarding the other teams required to bring these to life
Reporting & Data Analysis
Maintain and devise a clear reporting structure for the business on all things email marketing within these markets
Work collaboratively with our Data & the rest of the CRM Team on driving insights for our returning customers and campaign results
What you’ll bring:
3-5 years experience in similar roles and have in-depth knowledge of customer planning with a large customer base preferably in retail
Have a comprehensive understanding of email marketing channels combined with a track record of driving trade through innovative returning customer communications
Advanced experience using email service providers & data management platforms
A passion for creating engaging, exciting, and personalized campaigns
Confident in challenging the status quo and backing up questions with data
Advanced Excel & data analysis skills
An exceptional eye for detail
Advanced knowledge of audience segmentation and profiling
Have a flexible attitude to accommodate change with a sense of urgency, when required
