JOB DESCRIPTION: Retail Operations Manager

The Retail Operations Manager is a gritty, can-do all attitude person, that does what it takes to get the job done! They are responsible for assisting the VP of Retail in operations, merchandising, workload planning, and project management to achieve operational excellence in a growing retail fleet.  This person will support the store teams, and serve as the liaison with the corporate team.  This role will also assist in project managing new store build outs.

 

Retail Operations Management

  • Create, document, and evolve Standard Operating Procedures to build best-in-class retail operations
  • Identify areas of improvement and growth with retail programs and initiatives
  • Manage store supply and non-sellable inventory levels and budgets
  • Collaborate to determine if cross-functional synergies can be strengthened

 

Project Management

  • Assist VP of Retail with managing new store openings
  • Manage Retail Calendar and share dates with applicable stakeholders
  • Coordinate ad hoc program launches and deadlines

 

Retail Communication

  • Manage weekly retail update to stores
  • Assist VP of Retail in strategizing and scheduling effective communication to the retail fleet
  • Manage all business reactionary communications such as promos, price changes, etc. (daily/weekly)

 

Inventory and Allocations

  • Responsible for ensuring retail replenishment and orders are entered, shipped, and delivered timely
  • Manage retail inventory and applicable transactions in POS and ERP
  • Produce weekly and monthly retail inventory reporting

 

Retail Marketing

  • Partner with retail creative partners to develop store-specific marketing that is on brand and delivers impactful messaging
  • Oversee new store opening marketing strategy and execution to drive traffic and grow awareness to new markets
  • Collaborate with store teams to develop strategic tools and best practices for store awareness and traffic driving programs

 

Other responsibilities as requested by VP of Retail.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years in store management experience
  • 3+ year’s experience in retail operations, marketing or similar roles
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Proven ability to think strategically and in a proactive manner
  •  Experience in new store opening operations
  • Project management experience required
  • Excellent computer skills, advanced and expert functions in MS Office suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Some travel may be required
