Job Summary

Strive Health is transforming kidney care. Clinical fragmentation and perverse incentives have resulted in stagnant, suboptimal outcomes for kidney disease patients. Strive’s model transforms patient outcomes and experience, reducing hospitalizations by 50%, increasing home dialysis adoption by 30%, and boosting preemptive transplant rates by 5x. Strive creates a significant new revenue stream for provider partners, while putting the health system in a strong position to successfully manage CKD and ESRD risk. Strive is a next generation kidney care service provider that builds highly profitable businesses with health systems.

We are focused on implementing cutting edge data solutions to deliver the right insights, to the right people at the right time. The team is a group of dedicated, data driven engineers, focused on continuously improving the quality, reliability and accuracy of Strive’s data and platform.  

The Director of Data Engineering will be involved in the day to day operations with product managers, software engineers and the larger technology team to improve our data processes.

You: 

 

  • manage and develop a growing team of data engineers
  • have experience with development methodologies, including the AGILE development approaches
  • assist with decision making related to the development of cloud-based architecture 
  • have ability to dig into the data and understand business logic within the source system data and make business decisions related to the information
  • think strategically on how we can provide the right insights to both internal and external stakeholders
  • work across data science, engineering, clinical, market and financial teams to get to the required outputs
  • have a passion for continuing to learn new and innovative ways to improve outcomes through data
  • are focused on developing the team members capabilities through constructive feedback and teaching
  • balance tasks and priorities between multiple client projects and internal initiatives; ensure assigned tasks are executed efficiently and according to project requirements and timelines
  • have experience working with EMR\EHR systems and an understanding of the healthcare clinical domain
  • have a working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools
  • have a working knowledge with structured and unstructured data
  • are able to code and comprehend code around technologies that deal with acquiring data
  • have 7-10 years’ experience in healthcare/technology related field and have managed a growing team
