Vice President, Payor Growth Position Description:
The Vice President, Payor Growth will be responsible for leading Strive’s payor vertical. S/he will generate and nurture business development leads, manage payor relationships throughout the sales cycle, and own the partnership structuring and contracting process. S/he will collaborate closely with Strive’s partner solutions and marketing functions to continue to build a robust pipeline of payor partners. S/he will diagnose the unique needs of prospective customers, recognize and capitalize on areas of opportunity, and own each step in the sales cycle, including managing the RFP process. This person will also be responsible for long-term growth strategy in the payor vertical, including identifying targets and refining the Striver payor offering. S/he will ultimately be responsible for growing and managing the payor pipeline from initial conversation through contracting. As the main point of contact that many new customers will have with Strive, this person must bring a fluent understanding of value-based care and kidney care, specifically.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Develop new health plan opportunities, working in partnership with Strive’s Marketing and Partner Solutions teams
• Manage the development and submission of detailed customer proposals in response to customer RFPs and RFIs
• Lead long term payor growth strategy, including identifying targets and continuously refining the health plan pitch
• Lead business development calls and cultivate interest among senior-level contacts at health plans
• Serve as the point person to bring deals through the sales cycle and the contracting process
• Lead the contracting process to ensure internal and partner alignment on key terms
Qualifications:
• 10+ years’ experience in a high-growth healthcare services or technology organization in a business development or related role
• Fluency in the business development process, particularly complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles, ideally with experience selling to health plans
• Experience in contracting & negotiating around complex deals, with a strong eye for detail
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder priorities and organize around a common goal
• Creative and strategic, with the ability to identify problems or opportunities and iterate to achieve better results
• Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to project professional competence, leadership capability, and personal maturity
