What you will be doing:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Lead to drive business growth in the data center high-speed cable market. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, high-speed cable solutions (including fiber optics, copper, and other connectivity products), and a proven track record in technical sales. This role involves strategic planning, client relationship management, and collaboration with internal teams to meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals.

What your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting data center operators, colocation providers, and enterprise IT clients. Identify and prioritize sales opportunities in high-speed cable solutions, including networking, server, and storage connectivity.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in data center operations, IT, and procurement. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent customer service and responsiveness to inquiries.
  • Market Development: Research and analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company’s high-speed cable solutions.
  • Product Expertise & Consultation: Serve as a subject matter expert on high-speed cable products, including fiber optic and copper cabling, transceivers, and interconnect solutions. Provide technical consultation to clients, explaining product benefits and recommending tailored solutions for their data center infrastructure needs.
  • Sales Performance & Reporting: Meet or exceed sales targets by driving revenue growth and increasing market share in the data center cable segment. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and promotional campaigns. Provide feedback from clients to support continuous product improvement and innovation.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in technical sales, particularly in data center connectivity solutions or related industries.
  • Deep understanding of high-speed cable technologies, including fiber optics, DAC/AOC cables, and copper cabling.
  • Strong network within the data center industry or IT infrastructure sector.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex customer needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Experience with global data center markets and understanding of hyperscale environments.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEEE, TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC) and certifications.
  • Ability to manage a sales team and mentor junior sales representatives.
  • Results-driven and goal-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving market.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time if needed
