What you will be doing:
As a Corporate Accountant at Luminys, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What your primary responsibilities will be:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Perform regular reviews and updates to maintain account integrity.
- Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare necessary journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process and verify invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts payable transactions, while maintaining accurate records of all expenditures.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send invoices to clients, track outstanding receivables, perform regular follow-ups to ensure timely collection, and reconcile accounts receivable entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support business objectives and address financial issues.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time if needed
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- Constantly operates a computer and possibly other work related machinery
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing, or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine including repetitive motions
- Constantly receiving detailed information through oral communication
- Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication
- Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
- May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and noise levels
