What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of Technical Certification curriculum to internal staff and outside customers/vendors/distributors as needed. Our primary training is conducted in eLearning/Online Training form (OLT) and will include some Instructor lead trainings as well (ILT). The courses developed will mostly be in eLearning form, which will include the need for you to study and test various products in-depth so that you are able to develop the courses with minimal help from subject matter experts. The Technical courses you will need to create will focus on Installation, configuration and setup of the product or solution. Some travel may be required based on customer needs but most will be virtual so must be comfortable delivery training either in person or virtually. Additionally, you will help manage the existing Moodle based Learning Management System (LMS), and add new users with the correct permissions.

What your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Identify, assess, and analyze business requirements and training gaps to design effective Technical and departmental process training
  • Identify instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content via tested instructional design theories, practice and methods. You will create the OLT content, write scripts, record narration and perform video editing and slide animations
  • Create Technical Certification training for both Internal and external audiences in both ILT and OLT formats
  • Deliver Sales or Technical ILTs in person, as well as via Webinar. Some travel will be required, but only when safe to do so
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop Audience-specific content, identify optimum delivery methods, and build assessments and tests
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders


What you will need:

  • Experience in delivering and developing technical training
  • Effective Business writing skills and fluent in spoken and written English
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text and create video clips
  • 2 years in a Technical role within the electronics industry
  • Technically savvy in either Video, Digital Imaging or IP networking concepts
  • Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding listening skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills including computer fluency in MS Office


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time if needed
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time
  • Constantly operates a computer and possibly other work related machinery
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing, or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine including repetitive motions
  • Constantly receiving detailed information through oral communication
  • Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication
  • Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and noise levels
