This is a chance to join a small Legal Department in a company that offers the growth and opportunities of a start-up. Responsibilities include contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, litigation management, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and employment law matters.

Job Summary

Assists in protecting the organization's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides hands-on counsel to all levels of executive staff and works with our General Counsel on all legal aspects as required by the Company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Provide clear legal advice and practical business-focused solutions enabling the business to achieve its objectives while preserving and protecting the Company's integrity and reputation.

·         Draft and negotiate commercial contracts relating to the distribution of video surveillance products and solutions.

·         Draft and negotiate retail agreements relating to the sale of consumer electronics.

·         Provide general legal guidance to the Company's HR, Admin, Product and Solution, Supply Chain, Operation, and other functions.

·         Assist with establishing and implementing company compliance programs, including data privacy compliance, export control laws compliance, OSHA compliance, etc., including policy development, training, and monitoring.

·         May be asked to assist with other corporate legal matters and projects depending on the needs of the business, which may include employment and immigration, advertising, IP/trademarks, real estate, and other matters.

Required Education and Experience

·         Juris doctorate degree from a nationally recognized law school or equivalent law degree.

·         License to practice law in at least one state of the US.

·         Minimum three years' experience practicing corporate law at a law firm or as in-house position.

·         Previous experience drafting and negotiating commercial distribution and retail agreements.

·         International experience is a plus.

·         Be an organized self-starter, and have excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
