The successful candidate will play an essential role supporting, planning, tracking, and communicating our product development plans and portfolio status.  They will ensure an integrated approach to our efforts across multiple functional teams and stake holders, acting as a key communications hub. The ideal candidate has 5+ year experience as a project or portfolio manager in cell and gene therapy, biopharma, or pharmaceuticals, with a talent for fostering collaboration and engagement of staff from diverse backgrounds and different reporting lines within the organization. They are familiar with multiple PM software tools and comfortable with evaluating options for fit to Artisan Bio’s needs and subsequent implementation. 

The candidate will be self-motivated and eager to tackle a broad range of responsibilities. This full-time position reporting to the Chief Development Officer and can be based at either of our offices in Louisville, CO, USA or Toronto, Canada, or remote with 25% or more travel.  Job title is dependent upon experience and fit to role.

·       Work closely with Functional Group Leads and Product Leads to build and maintain integrated project and portfolio plans in a hybrid environment

·       Act as a central communicator of project/portfolio status, issues, mitigations, and successes, addressing the needs of stakeholders at various levels of responsibility throughout the company

·       Identify and lead implementation of project/portfolio management tools suitable to Artisan Bio’s needs

·       Champion a project management mindset and educate colleagues on practical implementation

·       Prepare, take, and maintain Product meeting agendas, notes, and action items

Education and Experience: 

·       MSc or higher in a life science or engineering discipline

·       PMP or similar qualification desirable but not essential

·       Five or more years’ experience in an active project/portfolio management role, or project leader with demonstrable project management experience, ideally in cell and gene therapy, biopharma, or pharmaceutical industries

·       Excellent technical competency in planning and tracking complex and dynamic projects with critical inter-project dependencies

·       Excellent organizational skills and effective time management

·       Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly convey plans, status, risk, and mitigations to stakeholders throughout the organization

·       Experienced educator and influencer of colleagues

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·       May act in a formal supervisory capacity & will guide through influence

Physical Requirements:

·       Bending, stooping and sitting for prolonged periods of time.

·       Personal protective equipment in laboratory is required

·       May be required to move equipment or objects up to 50 lbs.

·       Potential risk of exposure to biohazardous agents and chemicals
