Role Summary/Purpose: The Community Solar Associate will join our growing Community Solar team to help build a robust, best-in-class Community Solar portfolio. Community Solar is the fastest growing sector of the C&I solar industry and is DSD’s only product that services both commercial and residential customers. Even among the rest of the organization, the Community Solar team is an especially entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment. The Analyst/Associate will be responsible for supporting the Community Solar team’s work with our customers – both internal and external. This includes developing materials and conducting research to support new sales and development activities, maintaining the team’s tools and resources, keeping cross-functional teams informed about progress towards goals.

 

This role will also have the opportunity to learn about the purchase and sale of RECs (renewable energy credits) and support the Senior Director of Community Solar in efforts to maximize value for DSD and our customers for those transactions.

Responsibilities:

·       Creating and managing new sales and marketing collateral to support effective outreach to corporate clients. Conduct research on potential partnership opportunities that can create incremental value for DSD.

·       Working closely with our Community Solar team to support and move projects through their project life cycle, from initial pricing evaluation through the customer acquisition process until the hand-off with asset management.

·       Organize and manage information about team goals and ensure information is current and distributed across the teams via Salesforce, Teams, and SharePoint. Own management and reporting of all data associated with REC contracts.

·       Support CS policy efforts by researching and communicating critical market and policy updates to the team and keep reference resources and documents for finance, originations, and the incentives team up to date and easy-to-find.

·       Developing outstanding, positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that creates value and lifts up the Community Solar team’s capabilities.

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

·       Previous experience working with Salesforce and/or other CRM systems

·       Understanding of solar fundamentals, familiarity with the C/I market a bonus

·       Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

·       A commitment to providing best-in-class customer service to both our internal and external customers; we will look for successful previous business development experience or other customer service experience

·       Demonstrated interest in building a stronger, cleaner economy and deploying more solar.
