Job Description:

Distributed Solar Development is seeking a highly motivated, results oriented attorney to join the company as its Senior Commercial Counsel for Mergers & Acquisitions. This role will assist the mergers and acquisition team in the acquisition of solar projects.  This role will report into the General Counsel.  This role may be located remotely.

 

Requirements:

 

The ideal candidate will have

·         At must have at least 7 years of corporate transactional and mergers and acquisition experience in the solar industry.

·         Must have strong experience leading an acquisition from inception to closing. 

·         Experience leading due diligence and drafting and negotiating acquisition documents and overseeing outside counsel.

·         The ideal candidate will be a business minded lawyer who knows how to balance risk/reward and find creative practical solutions to solving risks in transactions.

·         Must have strong written and oral communication skills

·         Must be diligent, detail-orientated, pro-active, team-oriented

·         Must hold a JD degree from a highly selective law school and be in good standing with a U.S. State Bar.
