Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a full-time Demand + Supply Planner, based out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn . This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to work on the talented Supply Chain team and support Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as the company embarks on its next stage of major growth. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, passionate about data analytics, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment (and loves ice cream!).
The Demand + Supply Planner will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager. The Demand + Supply Planner will be responsible for the successful forecasting of omnichannel sales and properly building inventory by planning production across multiple manufacturing locations. This individual will also help onboard Van Leeuwen’s new planning platform while creating streamlined reports & analyses to improve overall inventory accuracy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Demand and Supply planning tasks
- Gather, validate, and upload inventory reports
- Update wholesale, retail, and DTC demand forecasts
- Update production plans
- Become the Supply Chain subject matter expert of the MODUS Planning platform
- Create a Production Attainment Trend Analysis to guide manufacturing decision making
- Submit production changes to co-packers regularly
- Work cross functionally with the Wholesale team to gather wholesale forecast data
- Work with Director of Supply Chain to improve the retail demand forecast
- Leverage store level data to improve forecast accuracy
- Assist in NSO (New Store Opening) demand planning
- Work on the integration of Retail POS to ERP project as required
- Contribute to the S&OP process
- Gather sales reports and build velocity reports
- Compile data for monthly Supply Planning report
- Run Aging Materials reports
- Help onboard new co-packing locations as necessary
- Assist with NetSuite (ERP) data inputs and exports as necessary
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, or Business preferred
- 3+ years experience in forecasting & planning
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems required (NetSuite a plus)
- Experience in food manufacturing or CPG strongly preferred
