Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring full-time Inventory Associates to join our Warehouse team based out of our Brooklyn production facility. This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced individual to work closely with the fast growing team of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as we embark on our next stage of growth. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in a high-volume warehouse or Fulfillment Center, high attention to detail, loves working in a team environment, and has experience with inventory.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for receiving orders and organization of dry goods within the warehouse freezer
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
- Preparation of small package shipments as well as larger, palletized shipments
- Our Storage freezers are kept at -20 degrees and a portion of your day will be spent packing orders, and organizing stock inside of these freezers
- Restock and organize warehouse/freezer space on a continual basis
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work space and facility
- Heavy lifting as well as long periods of standing will be required
- Follow company protocols and safety rules
- Effectively communicate with other team members and management
- Lead weekly cycle counting and inventory management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Previous Warehouse experience required
- Previous experience with electric pallet jack and/or forklifts
- Ability to work 7am-4pm, or 4pm - 11pm M-F and Saturdays (when needed)
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- High attention to detail with inventory counting
- Experience with lot number tracking
