Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to support our large-scale industrial power systems, encompassing power plants, electrical grids, data centers, or bitcoin mining centers. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with megawatt-level power systems, transformers, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and high amp breakers. This role is crucial for ensuring operational safety and efficiency. The successful candidate will also be adept at navigating work order systems and proficient in using Microsoft Office independently. Travel to various sites, including overnight stays to inspect infrastructure and perform repairs, is required approximately 30% of the time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on industrial electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards. This includes work on transformers, PDUs, and high amp breakers.
  • System Evaluation and Upgrades: Assess systems for efficiency and safety improvements, implementing upgrades as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations to address and resolve electrical faults and power outages.
  • Technical Support and Guidance: Provide expert advice and support to onsite teams regarding the operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Compliance with Safety Standards: Ensure all activities are in line with national safety codes and perform risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Efficiently manage documentation through work order systems, maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and modifications. Utilize Microsoft Office for reporting and communication purposes without requiring guidance.
  • Travel and Site Inspection: Willingness to travel to multiple sites for infrastructure checks and repairs, ensuring uniformity in operations across locations.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Required certifications or a degree in electrical engineering
  • Proven experience in industrial electrical roles, especially with large megawatt power setups, transformers, PDUs, and high amp breakers.
  • Knowledgeable about power plants, electrical grids, data centers, or bitcoin mining centers.
  • Capable of independently navigating work order systems and proficient in using Microsoft Office for documentation and communication.
  • All appropriate licenses or permits to drive in your local area
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various locations for overnight trips to perform inspections and repairs, as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40-70 pounds
  • Ability to walk long distances (from one side of the building to the other and back frequently based on need)
  • Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures
  • Availability to be on call to work emergency shifts, which may include evening, nights and weekends (when needed)
