The Associate Product Manager works with Marketing leadership to develop and execute key marketing strategies and efforts for the promotion, sales, education, and branding of the Catalyst Shoulder Arthroplasty portfolio.
This position will be directly responsible for development of marketing materials, market analyses, and educational collateral, and will play a key role in the field support of Marketing, Sales, MedEd, SalesEd, and R&D activities.
The Associate Product Manager will work closely with MarComm and Graphic Design resources to support the launch and growth of key existing and new product lines and will help drive adoption of product by serving as a product and procedural expert resource for both sales force and surgeon customer. Support of industry conferences and sales trainings will be required, as well as helping lead customer feedback efforts for product pipeline development and management.
Significant cross-collaborative effort across the organization will be important to the success of this role, and will require significant communication skills, problem solving, and comfort with surgeon interaction both inside and outside of the operating room.
Responsibilities:
• Help create and manage portfolio of Shoulder Arthroplasty solutions with Marketing, R&D, and Sales teams, including ownership of key upstream and downstream deliverables
• Develop key marketing and educational materials to support product use and adoption by surgeon customers, including product brochures, flyers, surgical techniques, instructional and promotions videos, etc, and partner with MarComm and Graphic Design resources for successful execution
• Research, analyze, and produce competitive analysis materials for the shoulder arthroplasty space
• Own and drive field sample and marketing display materials, including booth design, display models, promotional samples, etc
• Support leadership in development of traditional internal marketing deliverables such as business and strategic plans, pricing, product positioning, promotional strategies, life cycle plans and advising on product improvements and new product needs.
• Serve as an expert and resource on the Catalyst shoulder portfolio for both our sales force and our surgeon customers
• Collaborate and influence across R&D, MedEd, Sales, and Operations to support launch and execution of new product launches throughout the year
Attend and support industry conferences and sales trainings as needed
• Support sales trainings, new surgeon trainings, and customer surgical cases in OR environment as needed
• Establish and maintain relationships with key customers
• Required travel up to 40%
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Medical Device company
• Orthopedic medical device + Hospital OR environment experience preferred.
• Experience in Shoulder Arthroplasty market space highly preferred.
• Experience with 3-D Planning Software programs preferred
• Ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships to bring together ideas, information, analytics to develop best-practices for the organization
• Ability to handle abstract and conceptual problems.
