Summary:

The Communications Coordinator works with the Sr. Director, Communications and Administration and the Marketing team to develop and execute business and marketing communications projects and programs.

  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with and executes communications projects for Catalyst OrthoScience that builds and maintains company awareness, product information, and a positive corporate brand.
  • Executes product and company communications in print, digital and social media platforms.
  • Participates in updating the company’s websites including methods to deliver message, ease of navigation, and clarity of information; ensures that all content is current and relevant.
  • Executes corporate communications projects, including internal communications and company public relations.
  • Composes and distributes press releases as needed.
  • Assists in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.
  • Executes product launch communication plans, including collateral development, digital content creation/updates and communication to internal and external audiences.
  • Executes regular external communications to distributors; conducting research and reorganizing as needed; managing search optimization efforts; managing user database; and reporting statistics
  • Coordinates field requests as necessary, including invitations, letters and other sales tools.
  • Maintains collateral accuracy, consistency and graphic standards.
  • Conducts research and evaluation of communications programs, including surveys and in-person discussions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business or related field required.
  • At least 5 years’ communications experience required, medical device or healthcare corporation experience preferred.
  • Superior ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for corporate and external publications.
  •  Basic working knowledge on Adobe InDesign, Illustrator preferred.
  • Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills: written and oral.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with company management, employees, media, and the larger community.
