Summary:
The Sales Training Manager works with the Director of Medical Education to develop and execute training for sales representatives.
Position Responsibilities:
· Manage and train Catalyst OrthoScience reps and surgeons on surgical planning software
· Aid the marketing department in keeping our software platform features and benefits on pace with the market dynamicsTrack Sales Representative training
· Active involvement in onboarding new sales organizations by scheduling and executing sales training
· Follow corporate compliance protocols, AdvaMed and Sunshine Act guidelines
· Development of training programs, materials and procedures
· Manage and organize sales training requests
· Conduct ‘ride-alongs’ with sales representatives in the field to emphasize and develop selling skills
· Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to sales representatives and new hires on the effective use of Catalyst OrthoScience products in a manner that leads to meeting and exceeding business goals
· Educate surgeon customers on Catalyst OrthoScience products to optimize effective usage by providing technical and clinical information and in-service trainings
· Stay current on company product instructions for use (IFU), best practices and technical troubleshooting, as well as relevant scientific clinical literature
· Travel as needed to support the clinical and educational needs of the business
· Provide and coordinate product presentations in order to train surgeons, hospital staff and field reps
· Participate in surgical procedures in support of surgeon customers’ and reps’ training activities
· Participate in and occasionally manage trade show activity when assigned
· Assist in driving the company’s strategic plan
· Assist in KOL management as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree, post-graduate degree preferred
· Prior medical (RN, PA, NP) or medical training experience
· Five (5) years minimum experience in medical device industry, shoulder arthroplasty experience preferred
· Sales training experience preferred
· Training and clinical experience with surgical planning software preferred
· Demonstrate strong analytical skills
· Excellent communication skills: written and oral
· Excellent presentation and customer and sales team interface skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and online video conferencing (i.e., MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)
· Technical knowledge of surgical procedures and O.R. protocols
· Able to clear vendor credentialing within the U.S.
· Familiarity with AdvaMed and Sunshine Act regulations and reporting
· Travel up to 50%
