Job Summary

The Sales Manager will be required to develop the DIY Security & Surveillance business within the country of Mexico. Demonstrate the ability to increase revenue and market share with existing and new targeted accounts in multiple channels of distribution including Warehouse Clubs, retail chain stores, independent retailers, and E-commerce business. Candidate will be an energetic, highly visible and active manager within their defined territory and accounts.

This position will be located in Mexico City, Mexico and will require some travel.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Detail oriented with excellent organization and communication skills
  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Ability to maximize product placement in limited retail floor/shelf space
  • Creatively merchandise product placement with retail stores and e-commerce
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, packaging requirements, and retailer’s compliance needs
  • Acquire, analyze, and review weekly/monthly sell through reports from each customer and monitor monthly sell through and trends in order to properly develop, adjust and complete a sales forecast for each customer
  • Develop & submit timely and accurate monthly, collaborative customer sales forecasts to Lorex procurement team
  • Develop creative customer promotional strategies and execute with adequate lead time
  • Cultivate strategic, long term relationships with ability to identify decision maker(s) and key staff support
  • Knowledgeable understanding of the products selling within each brand offering of Lorex
  • Ability to demonstrate products and provide basic product training on Lorex product offerings
  • Working knowledge of Smart Home-Connected Home /Smartphone/Tablet technology devices requiring Internet Remote connectivity within the Mexico market
  • Responsible for product model transition planning and product life cycle management with each account
  • Develop creative opportunities with each customer to sell off older, aged, slow moving inventory
  • Strategic development and execution of planned business growth with varied channels of distribution, incorporating multi-channel strategies and pricing from Product & Sales Management team utilizing product road map directives
  • Develop and create consumer and small business demand for Lorex brand product line in your territory to secure new assortments for such
  • Proactive pursuit of new business with existing customers for new item assortment optimization and expansion maximizing business
  • Develop presentations to propose new items and secure new business
  • Responsible for timely follow up and execution of all set up sheet documentation & content coordination with Marketing Division at HQ for model assortments with each account
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate paperwork for customer sales programs & promotional requests
  • Provide proactive assistance to credit/AR in reconciling charge backs, unauthorized deductions and collections if necessary
  • Communicate all competitive developments within the industry and the account customer base back to Management and Product Development team
  • Responsible for timely e-mail correspondence and communication
  • Submit timely, required reports as requested, including Time Sheets, PTO requests & Expenses
  • Effective, efficient, and thorough territory and account coverage with some travel required

Required Education and Experience

  • Consumer Electronics hardware or software sales experience with national and regional retail accounts including Costco Mexico, Sam’s Club Mexico, Walmart Mexico, etc.
  • Current contacts at key national and regional retail accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) selling electronics technology products to the multiple retail channels of distribution with strong emphasis on Club Channel
  • Working knowledge of the entire Mexico market with experience purchasing or selling consumer electronics (Security & Surveillance products preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a team oriented fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of efficiency and accuracy with customer and internal documentation submissions
  • Strong negotiation skills

Compensation

Lorex Technology is offering an attractive base salary plus commission, depending on experience.
