Job Description— Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME)
Job Summary
The AME engineer works closely with internal and external customers engineering and operations team to coordinate and manage manufacturing processes. The AME is responsible from planning to implementation of precision manufacturing processes with fixture designs and automation to production with emphasis of cost and product quality. Facilitate and drive cross-functional team to meet product specifications and operations targets from design to mass production, through manufacturing processes and techniques. The AME will use his/her technical expertise to review technical work and help to identify solutions for engineering and manufacturing issues during all project/build phases.
The AME will work on project base team structure. AME will need to be involved in multiple projects in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities
· Maintain broad knowledge of product design, manufacture and assembly techniques.
· Review and present DFx/DFM to external and internal customers.
· Work closely with cross functional teams
· Maximize production efficiency through improved manufacturing processes (automation, semi-automation, and fixture design).
· Implement product quality standards through manufacturing processes.
· Plan for resources and material requirements, and workload assignments for validation, qualifications, and production activities.
· Work with vendors to understand and determine EnF specifications and requirements.
· Coordinate with design, sales and operations team to develop manufacturing plans for new products to achieve cost and quality objectives.
· Conduct international conference call with both US customer and manufacturing team in China
· Travel onsite domestic and internationally for design, manufacturing or engineering builds
Requirements
· BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in production environment.
· Have proven working knowledge of DFx/DFM, and failure analysis.
· Able to interpret engineering drawings with GD&T
· Strong knowledge and understanding on qualification techniques (Calibration, correlation studies, GR&R, Cpk, etc.).
· Strong oral and written communications skills in a worldwide environment. Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
· International travel to Asia around 20% of the time once the global travel ban is lifted
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced work environment
