Job Description— Hardware Test Engineer (EE)

 

Job Summary

 

The Hardware Test Engineer (EE) works closely with customers engineering team on product development from concept to mass production. Internally work and drive internal cross functional team to meet product specification from design, process though engineering builds. Focusing on facilitating technical communication between engineering groups and non-technical team members, the Hardware Test Engineer (EE) will use his/her technical expertise to help identify solutions for engineering issue during the project development and review all technical work. 

 

The Hardware Test Engineer (EE) will work on project based team structure. Hardware Test Engineer (EE) resource will also be shared on multiple projects in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

 

·        Team up with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, marketing and customers to define a mechanical design for variety of consumer electronic products

·        Develop HW validation plans.

·        Familiar with automate tests at the board and system level, and functional and electrical verification of Audio products.

·        Ability to debug and test manufacturing issues at factory

·        Interfacing with testing laboratories, and suppliers for the development and cost requirements

·        Conduct international conference call with both US customer and manufacturing team in China

·        Travel onsite domestic and internationally for design, manufacturing or engineering builds

 

Requirements

 

·        BS in EE engineering with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in hardware design.

·        Electrical signal characterization experience in one or more of the following areas: DDR, MIPI, audio, DC/DC convertors, I2C/SPI/UART buses.

·        Software development experience in one or more of Python, C/C++, Perl, Ruby, etc.

·        Experience working in a laboratory environment with oscilloscopes, multi meters, lab power supplies and other validation test equipment.

·        Good oral and written communications skills, with ability to converse in Chinese Mandarin is a must.

·        International travel to Asia around 20% of the time

·        Ability to work well in a fast paced work environment for consumer electronic product development
