To support our continued expansion and enable our future success, Spirovant is looking for a Lab Manager with the following Responsibilities and Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Be a primary point of contact for support of laboratory facilities including HVAC, compressed gasses/vacuum, electrical and plumbing.
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with providers to ensure timely solutions for supply and infrastructure requests
- Identify infrastructure needs for instruments and coordinating delivery of new instrumentation and equipment.
- Work with scientific team to schedule and coordinate instrument and equipment service and calibration.
- Establish, manage and maintain service contracts for instruments and equipment
- Implement and oversee inventory management to ensure efficient ordering, supply tracking, easy restocking
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of laboratory facilities
- Support Environmental Health and Safety, including but not limited to managing hazardous waste storage, handling, and removal
- Manage ordering, receiving and distribution of research materials. Coordinate shipment of research materials to collaborators, including hazardous shipments in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- This position will be on-site and may occasionally require time outside of normal working hours to support laboratory operations
- Other responsibilities as business needs require
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline with at least 3-5 years of experience working in a relevant lab or manufacturing setting.
- Biotech and/or gene therapy research experience a plus
- Experience with Electronic Laboratory Notebook a plus
- Demonstrated experience and track-record accomplishment in lab management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
