Job Summary:

The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will oversee and supervise the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.  In addition, the individual coordinates and manages the employee benefits programs.  You will work in a highly collaborative, forward-thinking environment that welcomes your experience and enables you to make a significant impact from your employment start. 


·        Implements, maintains and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions

·        Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll and updates including new hires, terminations, dept transfers, benefits, LOA, and changes to pay rates within the payroll system, the timekeeping system, and the benefits system

·        Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions

·        Through coordination with the company’s PEO, ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

·        Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors

·        Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators or other appropriate service providers

·        Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions

·        Interacts and coordinates with benefits broker on all benefits related activities

·        Maintains knowledge of trends, developments and best practices in compensation and benefits administration

·        Performs other duties as assigned

Experience to Drive Change:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required

·        At least three to five years of related experience required

·        Experience working with PEOs

·        Strong sense of organization and interest in creating and driving process

·        Strong desire to learn and grow within an evolving and growing organization

·        A true problem solver and desire to produce solutions

·        Team oriented and genuine excitement for accounting and benefits administration
