Job Title: Energy Advisor
Location: Boston, San Francisco, or Remote (West or East)
Job Overview: Reporting to the Manager of Advisory Services, the Energy Advisor is responsible for technical service delivery to Customers and Partners. In this role, you will directly work with building operators, energy managers, sustainability teams, and their partners, to drive positive outcomes for their business and our planet. You will be on the front lines and hold regular meetings with customers to review energy and operational performance metrics, ensure last-mile success of software-driven recommendations, as well as executing against discrete project scopes for Customers relating to energy, carbon reductions, and operational excellence. Responsibilities and Duties:
At Hatch Data, our Energy Advisors are expected to possess and continually develop expertise related to optimal building operations and energy systems to provide exceptional service delivery. Daily and weekly activities will vary based on Customer assignment, and will include some mix of:
Support strategic account plans through the organization, preparation, and delivery of regularly scheduled, advisory meetings with Customers and/or Partners
Review energy efficiency and operational recommendations (“Measures”) and ensure consistent quality, assignment and resolution for all applicable Customers
Document feedback and first-hand learnings to help improve the product experience for everyone.
Serve as domain expert and support training objectives through creation of resources (e.g., recorded webinars, one-pagers, etc.) for Customers, Partners, and internal audiences.
Coordinate with Customer Success and Sales to ensure end-to-end account health
Support the Commercial team with business case development and pre-sales support, as needed
You’re a team player who works well under pressure, demonstrates resourcefulness, follow-through and ability to independently conclude projects and assignments reliably.
Bachelor’s degree in energy or mechanical engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred; PE or EIT is a plus
3-5 years experience working in energy services (i.e., energy audits, commissioning, etc.), ideally with commercial buildings
Have an understanding of building mechanical systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.)
Experience in a customer-facing role ideally working in the commercial real estate space
Have a working understanding of utility cost structures (i.e., utility tariffs, regulated vs deregulated markets, energy procurement, etc.)
