The Physician Liaison serves as an advocate for the physicians. The role includes but is not limited to: developing, managing, and expanding physician relationships, promoting MCOA to potential physicians, developing strategies to enhance communication with physicians, analyzing and addressing physician needs and communicating that to the office. Further activities may include but are not limited to: relationship building, marketing, public relations, customer service, and referral coordination.
•Develops and implements specific outreach, relationship building and marketing initiatives to build referral volume and favorable provider perceptions among external referral sources
•Builds and maintain relationships with surrounding medical offices, and wellness centers.
•Generates new leads through cold-calling and research to identify new referral sources
•Efficiently and promptly follows up on all generated leads and established referrals
•Compiles, maintains and updates a database of referral sources and leads
•Facilitates networking and communication between physicians and outside referral sources
•Schedules and ensures execution of physician meetings with referral sources. ie: Meet and Greet, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner meetings
•Establishes and maintains ongoing communications and nurturing of referral source and office staff relationships through thank you notes and gifts, follow-up visits and communications
•Assists in organizing, executing and managing special events - expos, dinners, workshops, seminars etc.
•Attend special events and dinners as necessary
•Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years customer service based employment history
•Computer use competency
•Sales & Marketing background
•Reliable transportation and a valid Tx Class C Driver’s License
•Strong organizational skills
•Able to work in a fast paced, productive work environment
•MUST be a self-motivated and independent worker
