The Sourcing Manager will develop the sourcing strategies and factory selection process as well as maintaining the relationship with each factory/supplier in the US. This position requires a high level of expertise, detail, judgment in order to maintain good relationships with our local suppliers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Merchandising – Give support to the Buyers and Merchandising Directors on new products, as well as products that are being optimized.

  • By getting the best possible prices in the market
  • Controlling  the desired level of quality
  • Reducing manufacturing and shipping lead times
  • Maintaining  good relationships with our current suppliers
  • Constantly looking for new potential suppliers.


Sourcing – Develop the sourcing strategy, along with the process for evaluating supplier potentials.

  • Analyzing the marketplace to find the broadest set of capable manufacturers who provide the best product cost, quality, and delivery objectives - ensuring maximum bottom-line impact.
  •  Choosing a final supplier(s) including negotiating the best cost and contract terms.
  • Managing the supplier relationship on an ongoing basis, including holding the supplier to quality and compliance requirements as administered by GOJA's product compliance team.
  • Managing the supplier manufacturing process to ensure they meet delivery performance metrics.
  • Developing risk mitigation strategies including contingency plans, lead-time reductions, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including the retail category teams, finance and tax, product & trade compliance, transportation, and suppliers to deliver on brand equity, net revenue, and customer satisfaction.

Education & Knowledge:

  • A degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar position as a Sourcing agent or Manager
  • Some experience in a sales environment, including e-commerce.
  • Amazon Marketplace seller experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and "hands-on" analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of internal control processes.
  • Demonstrates a transparent communication and relationship style with employees, peers, and the leadership team.
  • Displays ethical behavior and business practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, train, develop and manage a sourcing team.
  • Exhibits strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology.
  • Exhibits continuous improvement mentality.
  • Possesses exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, plus excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, costing, lean supply chain management, international logistics, product compliance, quality assurance, and product development.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Ability to clearly define processes in loosely structured situations.
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and to effectively lead work on multiple projects in various phases and under tight deadlines.
