The role
The S&OP Planning Analyst's main role is to coordinate tasks with merchandising, operations, finance teams, and other stakeholders, seeking to improve the forecast's accuracy, considering SKU's new launches and discontinued items.
The Sales & Operation Planning Analyst will also be involved in analyzing information, identifying relevant
deviations, coordinating actions to align the demand and supply processes, closing gaps with the company's strategic objectives, and improving the service level and out-of-stock reduction.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensure alignment in the company's S&OP process to find the best plan that adds value to GOJA's business model.
• Analyze historical information and identify trends (brand or category) and comparisons against
budget/commitments to correct deviations, adjust and ensure data quality in compliance with a sales
forecast.
• Coordinate with Merchandising area the goals by category according to statistical analysis to identify the past and future demand drivers (external and internal) that, together with a statistical forecast, allow the
construction of the best-integrated plan.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust demand forecasting model and regularly review and calibrate on projected demand with Merchandising team.
• Monitor the demand plan performance to provide detailed input for use in demand review and S&OP
meetings.
• Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy.
• Develop scenarios and simulations to run sensitivity analysis.
• Maintain constant communication with the company's different partners to identify risks and opportunities and keep efforts, collaboration, and consensus aligned in all operating plans to accomplish current and future demand requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional action plans and participates in the tactical & operational control towers to
correct variations from the current month's commitment, product labels, and fulfillment types.
• Support the preparation of the analytics and decks for the different stages of the process and monthly
meetings.
Education & Knowledge
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management and S&OP.
• Knowledge in Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management.
• Knowledge in statistics and forecasting models.
Skills & Abilities
• Advanced problem-solving skills and root cause analysis combined with proven ability to communicate them.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of cultures, people, styles, and personalities.
• Excellent written and verbal English/Spanish communication skills. This is a MUST.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
Working Conditions
• Able to work in seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time.
• The position may require travel.
