The role
The Purchasing Analyst's primary role is to coordinate purchase orders with suppliers and oversee the inbound logistics process of importing raw materials and finished goods. This role is vital to execute foreign trade activities and providing materials needed for the current daily operations and future needs. 

Duties & Responsibilities
Generate and manage end-to-end purchasing activities such as Purchase Orders, MOQ's, Production Plans & Timelines, Manufacturers Capacity Allocation, Packaging, Payments from local and global suppliers, following supply agreements in close collaboration with internal and external teams.
Negotiate cost savings with logistics partners, better service level agreements, and look for competitive new sources.
Coordinate the merchandise pickup and delivery, ensuring all documentation, items condition, lead times, and quality is being checked.
Responsible for the purchasing and logistics analysis, data reports, including purchase orders, quotations, invoices, material rejection reports, and inventory management according to the requested delivery date.
Monitor shipments to guarantee on-time delivery and settle issues associated with undelivered goods to give the Materials Planning Manager (MRP) constant feedback.
Manage suppliers' key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are achieved for cost, service level, and quality levels (AQL) across the supply chain to build a collaborative relationship.
Identify market trends and remain proactive to avoid supply shortages. 

Education & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
3+ years experience in purchasing, dealing with a large number of global suppliers (especially in Asia).
Master/Certified in foreign trade and customs is preferred.
Experience working with procure-to-pay ERP module.

Bilingual in English and Spanish
Demonstrates excellent critical thinking and "hands-on" analytical skills.
Demonstrates a strong knowledge of internal control processes.
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, plus excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive. 

Working Conditions
Able to work in seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time.
Flexible to travel to suppliers as required of the job.
