Overview
We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our development group and help us continue to build great products.
To be successful in this role you should be confident in managing a growing team while setting goals, budgets, and timelines for a range of projects. You will oversee all hardware and software development plans from ideation to execution. And you’ll be in charge of our integrations with external partners.
What You'll Do
Oversee both internal and external development teams and their projects
Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems and processes to suggest improvements
Ensure compliance with required product safety and emissions regulations
Manage hardware and software development projects by setting requirements, goals, and timelines
Prepare and manage the development group’s budget
Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources
Hire engineers and coordinate their training
Supervise functions of engineering employees and manage workflow
Implement innovative technologies
What You'll Need
Experience as a Director of Engineering or in a similar senior-level position
Extensive experience with consumer product and software development
Good understanding of agile methodologies
Leadership abilities with a strategic mind
Excellent project management skills
BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field
