We are looking for talented and experienced Medical Assistants to join our intimate care model where our MAs are intricately involved in our patient’s care. Qualifications:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant certification required from an accredited school of Medical Assistants
• EMR experience required
• Medical office (front and back) experience preferred
• Bilingual preferred
• Chronic Care Management experience preferred
• Quality Management/HEDIS experience preferred

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Take patients back to exam rooms
• Obtain patient vital signs, medical history, and prepare patient charts within EMR system
• Administer adult and adolescent immunizations and other injections as needed
• Stay in room with provider during patient visits and assist with chart completion
• Retrieve medical records from hospitals and Specialist offices as necessary
• Assist with non-invasive procedures such as vision and hearing screenings, EKGS and other procedures at the direction of the provider
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patient once visit is completed
• Call patients to inform about lab results and any other follow-up that may be required
• Contact specialist offices and other facilities as needed
• Contact vendors to order medical equipment
• Contact pharmacies to order and refill prescriptions
• Assist with answering the phone, scheduling patients, and other duties as needed
• Work referrals, prior authorizations, and orders as needed
