An IT System Developer I who thrives on analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of new or existing software applications.
Your skills and knowledge include:
- Working knowledge of capabilities and operating principles of computers and peripheral equipment.
- Working knowledge of software development platforms, programming languages, frameworks, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of application programming languages and techniques.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Examples of work you may perform include:
- Writing programs and procedures according to specifications.
- Testing and debugging completed programs and procedures.
- Maintaining and updating department or agency database, ensuring standards are met.
- Complying with change management procedures.
- Documenting completed work.
- Reviewing description of changes to database design.
- Maintaining security of systems and data.
- Performing related duties as required.
Specific Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits
OR - Two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
