You are:

An IT System Administrator III who thrives on ensuring systems are operational, reliable, and well-maintained, supporting future growth requirements as technology evolves.

  • Assisting with development of gap analysis of systems, services, and requirements.
  • Assisting with development of system design documentation.
  • Enforcing and complying with change management procedures.
  • Conducting research to keep current on technologies and methods.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving common system and server problems.
  • Assuming responsibility for protecting sensitive data in accordance with security standards.
  • Managing vendors to ensure system deliverables and activities are in conformance with the contract.
  • Assisting in evaluating systems/services for alignment with business needs.
  • Ensuring proposed/purchased solutions are compatible with infrastructure.
  • Researching, recommending, and implementing systems/services tools.
  • Developing and using standard templates for technical documentation.
  • Mentoring and sharing lessons learned with other staff.
  • Producing maintainable and reusable documentation.
  • Performing complex configuration of existing systems/services.
  • Administering systems/services testing and quality control.
  • Collaborating with coworkers to increase architecture knowledge and improve workflows.
  • May assist with inventory, assembly, installation, and configuration of server hardware/software.
  • May lead or supervise technical groups.
  • Supporting systems authentication and authorization (user accounts).

Specific Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration
    OR
  • Associate’s degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration
    OR
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
