Your skills and knowledge include:
- Knowledge or training in system architecture, server administration, and security best practices.

- Proven experience with current system/service design and development practices.

- Ability to prepare system/service designs, workflow plans, and reports.
- Intermediate technical knowledge of IT systems and services.

Examples of work you may perform include:
- Assisting with development of gap analysis of systems, services, and user requirements.
- Assisting in planning, designing, and developing database, web, and application servers.
- Assisting with development of system design documentation.
- Conducting research to keep current on technologies and methods.
- Assisting with implementation and maintenance of architecture for systems integration.
- Assisting with complex configuration, testing, quality control, and change management.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems.
- Maintaining knowledge of security measures.
- Assisting in evaluating systems/services for alignment with business needs.
- Coordinating with vendors on hosted servers and services.
- Researching, recommending, and assisting with implementation of system/service tools.
- Mentoring and sharing lessons learned with other staff.
- Producing maintainable and reusable documentation.
- Adjusting existing systems/services as needed.
- Performing system/service tests and use test plans.
- Collaborating with coworkers to increase architecture knowledgebase.
- May assist with inventory, assembly, installation, and configuration of server hardware/software.

Specific Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science
OR - Associate’s degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration
OR - Four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
