- Assisting with development of gap analysis of systems, services, and user requirements.
- Assisting with development of system design documentation.
- Using standard templates to generate technical documentation.
- Conducting research to keep current on technologies and methods.
- Troubleshooting and resolving simple technical problems with enterprise systems.
- Complying with server inventory and change management procedures.
- Performing system troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network and server problems.
- Maintaining knowledge of security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Assisting in evaluating systems/services for alignment with business needs.
- Assisting in ensuring proposed/purchased solutions are compatible with infrastructure.
- Sharing troubleshooting lessons learned with other staff.
- Producing maintainable and reusable documentation of production systems/services.
- Adjusting existing systems/services as needed.
- Using test plans to trace functionality back to requirements.
- Performing functional tests on systems/services.
- Collaborating with coworkers to increase architecture knowledgebase.
- May assist with inventory, assembly, installation, and configuration of server hardware/software.
- Supporting systems authentication and authorization (user accounts).
- Referring major hardware/software issues to higher-level technicians.
Specific Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits
OR - Two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration.
