An IT Specialist I who thrives on ensuring technology is optimized for citizen experience and operation efficiencies. 

Your job may engage skills and knowledge such as:

  • Working knowledge of basic capabilities of computer hardware and software.
  • Ability to maintain inventories and use ticket systems.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise written documentation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Examples of work you may perform include:

  • Assisting with installation of basic hardware and software.
  • Operating and configuring basic hardware and software.
  • Performing initial diagnosis of simple computer or peripheral problems.
  • Coordinating warranty repairs with hardware manufacturers.
  • May participate in testing and debugging of hardware and software and documents completed work.
  • Following change management procedures.
  • Performing password resets in a helpdesk setting and establishing user profiles and environments.
  • Maintaining hardware and software inventories.
  • Performing related duties as required.

Specific Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
