Examples of work you may perform:

  • Lead teams of subordinate Business Analysts to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to define project scope and vision.
  • Identify project stakeholders, establish their roles and user classes, and define their characteristics.
  • Conduct interviews and gather user requirements using various methods (workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, storyboards, use cases, scenarios).
  • Determine and define the scope and parameters for requirements analysis on each project, including impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Research, review, and analyze current requirements-gathering processes; develop strategies for improvement.
  • Assist in evaluating software and hardware products for alignment with business needs.
  • Implement and utilize requirements documentation tools as directed by the PMO.
  • Ensure solutions are compatible with business requirements.
  • Analyze and verify requirements for relevance, consistency, clarity, feasibility, completeness, and adherence to standards.
  • Develop and use standard templates to write clear and concise requirements specifications.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into detailed, functional requirements.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide developers and project teams.
  • Conduct peer reviews of business requirements to ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Help interpret user requirements into workable options and communicate these to business stakeholders.

Specific Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Eight (8) years or more of Business Analysis experience at a professional level.

Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related subject. (Preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS
CCBA/CBAP certification. (Preferred)

  • Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
