An Information Security Analyst V enthusiastic about providing leadership and management for agency-wide information security activities.

Your job may engage your skills and knowledge to:

• Lead and manage security activities and staff
• Develop and maintain complex technologies
• Form partnerships across government and public interest groups

Examples of work you may perform:

• Lead security operations and supervise staff.
• Maintain and develop advanced technologies.
• Build partnerships with government and public interest groups.
• Advise on IT impacts and opportunities for new legislation.
• Collaborate with Vermont state agencies on projects.
• Coordinate with public interest groups statewide.
• Work with local, regional, and national groups to shape policies and IT strategy.
• Manage information security budgets across multiple projects and units.
• Oversee staff training and professional growth.
• Prepare RFPs, manage vendor contracts, and evaluate vendor performance.

Specific Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or higher in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, programming, or engineering AND six years of information security experience, including two years of IT management OR Eight years of information security experience, including three years of management/supervision OR One year as an Information Security Analyst IV

CERTIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Information Security (preferred), DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level 3, IASAE Level 2, or CSSP (preferred)
