SAP Process Mining SME
The SME will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of process-mining initiatives that enable the Navy ERP+ modernization effort to transition legacy SAP ECC capabilities to SAP S/4HANA. Note that a DoD Secret security clearance is required.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, engineering, or a related field and has 8+ years of hands-on experience using Celonis, Foundry, or equivalent tools to map and optimize SAP ECC or S/4HANA processes. They thrive on turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights, are highly analytical and detail-oriented, and excel at collaborating with cross-functional DoD teams to drive continuous improvement.
Background
As part of the Navy ERP+ modernization effort to transition legacy SAP ECC capabilities to SAP S/4HANA, process mining is critical for visualizing “as-is” versus “to-be” flows, validating fit-to-standard alignment, and measuring transformation success. The SME will partner with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) data, solutions design, governance, and change management — to turn ECC data into actionable insights that reduce technical debt and boost auditability.
The Process Mining SME will be responsible for the following areas of work:
• Conduct analysis of ECC data flows and visualize current processes against S/4HANA best practices.
• Deliver process maps, highlight conformance gaps, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Recommend changes to reduce technical debt and enhance auditability using process-mining analytics.
• Deploy and configure process-mining tools in DoD cloud environments while ensuring data-security compliance.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to baseline performance and track transformation outcomes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Celonis, Foundry, or equivalent process-mining tools.
• Deep understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA process structures.
• Proven ability to translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess an active (or interim) Secret clearance. Given lead time, new clearances applications will not be sponsored for this role.
• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in STEM or a business-related field.
• 8+ years of relevant SAP/process-mining experience.
Preferred:
• Prior Navy or DoD ERP modernization experience.
• Experience recommending technical-debt reduction and auditability enhancements using analytics.
Location: DC/VA. Hybrid/On-site schedule is TBD at this time. All applicants must be within commuting distance of Washington, DC.
