Position Title: Director, Marketing Communications & Branding                                                     FLSA Status: Salary – Exempt

Supervisor: Vice President, Product Management. 

Position Summary: Medacta USA, Inc. seeks an individual who will create market strategies, translate strategy to plan, and drive our corporate, product & value added services marketing and communications roadmap. The successful candidate will collaborate with our dynamic team of U.S and International product managers and key stakeholders for all value added services for external and internal marketing deliverables. The candidate will own the marketing communications efforts to drive brand awareness, generate inbound and outbound traffic, and report results relative to the plan to U.S and Swiss leadership.

Job Specifications: 

Knowledge: 

Minimum Educational Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree preferred

Minimum Experience Requirements:  At least 7 years of experience in communications and marketing, including at least 3 years in a leadership position. Direct experience in healthcare and/or services, preferred.

Minimum Skill Requirements: A track record of delivering meaningful marketing and communications content and outcomes with limited budget and staff resources. Proven track record of exceptional relationship-building both internally and externally. Knowledge and command of all current communication tools, platforms, technologies, and processes. Management and leadership team experience, including ability to motivate, lead, set objectives and manage performance of staff and external contractors.

Equipment or Machines Used: PC/Microsoft Office software suite, Mac/iOS, general office equipment, orthopedic instruments, automobile, smart phone and mobile apps.

Principal Duties: 

Strategy: Work with the U.S & Swiss leadership to assess existing communications strategy and to build a refined plan to support achievement of the organization’s communications, marketing and branding goals.

Brand Identity: Lead efforts to fully manifest our building ASC & Emerging Technology brand narrative and identity through all existing and new communications assets and channels. In the long term, ensure consistency and quality of brand narrative and identity in all communications efforts.

Communications: Lead the implementation of the organization’s communications strategy through existing and new assets and channels, including website, and through earned, owned, and social media.

Marketing: Based on identified business and development needs of the organization, implement a marketing and advertising strategy to build new business, partner, funder, donor, and contact leads and prospects for the organization. Lead all development efforts for the Company’s “Value Added Services,” which include Patient Optimized Pathways and MyPractice Development Plan.

Case-Building: Work with U.S & Swiss leadership and network thought partners to lead efforts on content creation and dissemination to support the organization’s marketing & communications goals. This includes content creation, coaching others in content creation, and pitching content for publication in a variety of outlets.

Network Engagement: Lead efforts to more deeply engage the organization’s large network of health care professionals across the country, including past M.O.R.E. Institute educational program participants.

Resource Management: Manage a team of internal staff and external contractors as well as a budget to deliver on planned goals.

Research and Measurement: Develop and implement evaluation processes and metrics to monitor progress on all marketing & communications efforts and make regular reports to U.S & Swiss leadership.

Develop rapport and establish a trust relationship with key opinion leaders and clinicians, becoming a key liaison between these individuals and the Company.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Occasional Duties: 

Attend relevant Industry Conferences, International Congresses, Domestic and International Company Meetings, and participate in select product management activities. Travel up to 30% may be required. Other duties may be assigned at Medacta USA’s discretion.
